Cairns: Walks in Thin Places
An Evening exploring photography by Larry Clouse and contemplative Celtic music. "Thin places" in Celtic lore are the places where the natural and supernatural worlds are unusually close. There is a thin veil between them. Larry has explored these in his photographs, and the nature and location of thin places might surprise you. Mixed in with the photographs we will be presenting Celtic instrumental songs that for us represent sonic thin places.
Anselm Society Pub Night
Our fourth annual St. Paddy's Day Pub Night will be just as awesome as all the others - there will be loud singing of Irish pub songs, a live Celtic band (that's us! We'll be joined by Celtic guitar and hammer dulcimer player extraordinaire Jim Ware, and harpist Megan Prahl) poetry and literary readings, presentations by our Anselm Arts Guild members, plus great food and drink!
Speaking of food: if you would like to sign up to bring a plate of food with an Irish flair, or volunteer to help with set-up, serving, or clean-up, you can deduct $5 from your ticket price. Please first sign up at this link, then come back here and buy the appropriate discounted "Event Volunteer" ticket. Thank you for making this event awesome!
Crystal Creek Concert
In this concert we'll be exploring the intersection of folk and classical music.
